I am selling this beautiful armchair, model "Van Speyk", designed by Rob Eckhardt and produced in a very small edition by Pastoe in the Netherlands in 1984. The armchair has a black lacquered, tubular metal base in beautiful geometric shapes. These shapes are reflected in the design of the seat, which consists of various panels in trapezoidal and triangular shapes. The chair is very comfortable. The armchair has recently been reupholstered and fitted with new internal padding, so it can last for years to come. The purple upholstery fabric is from the Grande line by Danish Art Weaving and the grey mélange fabric is from the Tonica line by Kvadrat. This piece of furniture is an authentic example of Dutch design and represents an important period in design history. Selling due to lack of space.
