This striking vintage storage tin by Van Melle, manufactured by Wed. J. Bekkers & Zoon, is a beautiful example of early twentieth-century packaging design. Produced between 1931 and 1949, the tin immediately catches the eye with its refined decoration of stylized cranes in a watery landscape, making it a beloved collector's item. The rectangular object is made entirely of metal and features a hinged lid. The decoration displays a vibrant color palette with a bright orange background, accented by silver, blue, and black details in a style that reveals influences from Art Deco and Asian art. The dimensions are 32 centimeters in width, 19 centimeters in depth, and 15 centimeters in height. An authentic keyhole is located on the front.
