"In Culemborg and the surrounding area, the Gispen Company was one of the main employers for decades. What began in the 1930s grew after the war into one of the Netherlands' leading furniture factories. With the rise of sleek, modern design from Italy, Germany, and France, Willem Gispen's designs faded somewhat into the background, but today some of Gispen's designs, as well as those of his contemporaries, are once again attracting attention. The 'New Objectivity' as it was shaped by them more than half a century ago is currently experiencing a revival both at home and abroad. For several years now, the most successful Gispen furniture has therefore been manufactured under license by the Van der Stroom Brothers from Asperen. The company is the oldest existing furniture factory in the Netherlands and also manufactures, among other things, the wire platform benches commissioned by the Dutch Railways."
Delivery or collection of these chairs is no problem.
