About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is an original Van de Graaff generator, produced by Malmberg. It is a classic educational instrument designed for physics demonstrations.
The device is crafted with a sturdy wooden base, combined with metal and plexiglass components. The construction displays the characteristic metal mesh dome and visible drive mechanisms typical of this type of generator. The materials, including wood, metal, and plexiglass, contribute to the object's robust and authentic appearance.
The generator is in original condition, befitting its age and previous use as an educational model. The object is missing the rubber band, and the motor and drive still function well.
This instrument is an intriguing decorative object for enthusiasts of scientific history or industrial design. It comes into its own particularly well in a study, library, or an eclectic interior, where it serves as a unique conversation starter.
