Product description
This earthenware cheese board injects an organic and graphic note
into mid-century table arts. Its striking trompe-l'œil decor
faithfully imitates the characteristic grain, growth rings, and knots
of olive wood.
This vintage piece comes from the craftsmanship of the Vallauris workshops
of the 1960s, echoing the emblematic production of the Grandjean Jourdan house
which frequently left certain series without an apparent signature under the base. The board is
coated with a shiny, smooth honey-yellow glaze
which contrasts with the textured edge, shaped in relief to simulate
a natural bleached bark.
The center holds its original removable handle
in matte black twisted wrought iron, a functional attribute
typical of this period, facilitating service on a sideboard or a characterful table.
