Model: Karel Catalogue: Val Saint Lambert, 1957 Catalogue number: 440 Version: Large size – originally designated as 6 inches Origin: Val Saint Lambert, Seraing, Belgium Period: Mid-Century Modern, 1957 Material: Clear cut crystal Signed: Val St Lambert, engraved on the underside The Karel model can be found in the original Val Saint Lambert catalogue from 1957. Two versions are listed therein: - No. 439 – 5 inches - No. 440 – 6 inches Example dimensions: - Approx. 13 cm measured across the sides - Approx. 7 cm high - Inner bowl approx. 11 cm - Weight approx. 1.2 kg Characteristic geometric, diamond-shaped design with heavily faceted crystal walls and integrated cigarette holders. Condition: In excellent condition, without chips or cracks. Only very light superficial scratches on the underside, mainly visible under high magnification. Otherwise in top condition. Beautiful and documented Val Saint Lambert collectible from the 1950s. Asking price: €120 Transport costs for buyer.
