Product description
Set of 8 aperitif or sherry glasses made of glass to which uranium oxide has been added, giving that characteristic fluorescent green glow under UV light, presumably and entirely in the style of Val Saint Lambert, first half of the 20th century.
Uranium glass was particularly popular at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century; these items have a high collector's value, and despite the uranium in the glass being radioactive, it is completely safe for daily use.
The set is in excellent vintage condition, with a few minor signs of use on the base of one glass, and a few small air bubbles in the glass caused by the production process; check the photos for more details!
