Beautiful hand-blown bowl by glass artist Jaroslav Svoboda.
The famous glassworks of Škrdlovice southeast of Prague (Czech Republic) experienced a great flowering under the leadership of Jaroslav Svoboda where, apart from Svoboda himself, several glass artists worked.
In 1990 Svoboda founded his own glassworks in Karlov (near Škrdlovice), it is there where this bowl was blown.
The glass is 18 mm thick and weighs 5300 grams.
The bowl has been in our private art collection for 3 decades, we bought the bowl as the 1st owner at an international art fair in 1994.
We now wish to pass it on to a collector who understands its special value.
It is a unique bowl of which only one copy was made.
The color on the inside is green and orange.
The color on the outside is dark blue.
The bowl is in almost new condition with only a few very light signs of use at the base on the outside (where the bowl is placed on a table, for example).
Height = 13,5 cm, diameter top = 31 cm, diameter base = 8 cm
Glass thickness = 1,8 cm
Weight: 5300 grams
