Beautiful mouth-blown studio glass object (perfume bottle / carafe) by the renowned French glass artist Romuald Ribes. This artwork was created in 2011 in his famous studio 'Verre Tout Horizon' (VH) in Brittany, France. The object is a beautiful example of his mastery in capturing light and texture. The bottle displays a spectacular gradient from vibrant lime green through warm amber to a deep, iridescent metallic blue with oil-slick effects at the base. The solid, round stopper features a refined 'ice crackle' structure in a very beautiful green color.
An appliqué glass seal has been applied to the body of the bottle. This seal displays a Celtic-inspired motif with three spirals (triskele).
Technique: The seal was applied to the glass while hot (applied glass seal) while the bottle was still glowing hot on the blowpipe. This requires a high degree of timing and craftsmanship. Meaning: The triskele (triple spiral) is a direct wink. to the Celtic culture and history of Brittany, the French region where Romuald Ribes' glass studio is located. Many of his works from this period bear this specific regional signature element.
