This exceptional asymmetrical dressing table from the former Czechoslovakia was designed in the style of Jindřich Halabala. Characteristic of this piece is the faux-grain finish, in which a burr walnut grain has been hand-painted by a craftsman. Because this finish cannot be restored using traditional methods, this piece of furniture remains in its original condition. Nevertheless, the surface is still in particularly good condition. Light signs of age and blemishes are visible, bearing witness to the history of this piece. The iconic mirror also shows slight weathering and has image distortion characteristic of old drawn glass. The Bakelite handles on the four drawers beautifully complete the ensemble. This dressing table is in good vintage condition. Any particulars or defects have been incorporated into the photos or text.
