This exceptional "Genesio" chest of drawers from 1990 by the Italian artist and designer Alik Cavaliere (1926-1998), produced by Zanotta Edizione, is much more than a piece of furniture; it is an art object in which craftsmanship, imagination, and functionality come together in a unique way. The cabinet features 7 drawers, each finished in its own color and fitted with one or two special bronze or patinated brass knobs. The organic forms, including a flower, leaf, bird, moon, and other natural elements, give each drawer its own character and make the whole a playful and poetic design, entirely in the style of Cavaliere. The cabinet is crafted from a special combination of light and dark wood veneer. The right side is finished in black ebony and bears Alik Cavaliere's signature. The top and the four legs are also executed in an alternating light-dark pattern, giving the piece a powerful and elegant appearance. With its dimensions of 126 cm high, 52 cm wide, and 50 cm deep, this is a striking piece of furniture that comes into its own both as a design object and a functional chest of drawers.
