About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
For restoration: a unique and rare large set of 8 original De Wit model 2011 tubular frame dining chairs. The design is by Gebroeders de Wit (Schiedam) from the fifties, now re-released under the Dutch originals/Gispen collection. It is an iconic and timeless cantilever chair without armrests.
The chairs are in need of restoration and are 'ready for re-upholstery'. Ideal for the handy DIY enthusiast, vintage lover or professional furniture upholsterer who wants to (have) a beautiful design set upholstered to their own taste with, for example, corduroy or leather.
Condition of the frames: The chrome of four chairs is in shiny condition. The chrome of the other four chairs has seen more life, is duller and/or has speckles, and needs extra love and a thorough polish.
The seats and backrests need new foam and upholstery. New glides are needed under the tubular frames of the chairs.
Preferably to be sold as a complete set of 8 pieces.
• Asking price for the entire set of 8: bids from €400,-
• Possibly negotiable to split into two sets of 4 (set with nice chrome vs. set needing polishing). Feel free to send a message with your offer if interested in a set of 4.
For questions or extra detailed photos, you can always send a message!
