Product description
For this table, I used a solid oak tabletop more than fifty years old. Its rounded shape is reminiscent of the seventies. After years of use, the top has been carefully treated by a furniture maker, preserving the warm appearance and natural grain of the wood. Underneath this existing top, I designed and created a new, sculptural base. It is hand-upholstered in a soft beige mottled wool, with a layer of furniture foam underneath. This makes the base not only soft to the touch: even when your legs brush against it while sitting, it yields pleasantly. The sturdy oak wood and the soft upholstery together form a table that invites you to sit, work, and touch. A functional piece of furniture with a distinctive, sculptural character. Made in Maastricht in 2026. - You will receive a VAT invoice. - The vintage oak top has been carefully restored to its best form. This means it has been re-glued, sanded flat, and oiled. - From a smoke-free and pet-free home.
