For the true enthusiast and collector of Scandinavian design: an extremely rare, original Stokke Aerobic Balans kneeling chair, designed by the legendary Peter Opsvik. This specific early model is an absolute rarity on the market. Unlike the later, mass-produced Variable models with loose cushions and straight frames, this iconic version features the sought-after, organically curved one-piece swing seat and knee support. The chair is in a completely original, authentic condition. It has never been tampered with, and the base is the original, open wooden sled model (without rigid cross connections on the floor) that ensures the perfect, dynamic balance movement. Shipping possible! The chair can be easily disassembled using the original Allen screws. This allows it to be shipped safely and compactly with parcel service (shipping is carefully packed and at the buyer's expense/risk). Pick-up is also possible, of course. Features & Details: • Designer: Peter Opsvik • Model: Aerobic Balans (early, rare edition) • Fabric: Original Kvadrat Hallingdal virgin wool upholstery fabric (design Nanna Ditzel) in a beautiful, vibrant red mélange. The fabric is stretched tightly around the frame via the original zippers on the underside. • Authenticity: Equipped with the original, undamaged black balans® brand clamp with the iconic logo on the back of the frame. Dimensions: • Width: 52 cm • Depth: 72 cm • Height: 51 cm Condition: Exceptionally good vintage condition. The layered beech wood frame has retained its original, deep luster (toner finish) and the construction with the heavy Allen screws is perfectly stable and wobble-free. The wool fabric is completely intact; consistent with its age, there are only some light stains in the fabric. Due to the rich structure of the mélange wool, this is hardly noticeable in overview photos and does not detract from the unique, historical appearance of this design icon.
