Tycho" wall shelf by Italian artist and architect Manfredo Massironi.
With his unique scientific approach, Massironi is one of the most important figures in 1970s kinetic art. The shelf is named after one of the most famous astronomers of the 16th century, Tycho Brahe.
This astonishing wall-mounted shelf consists of 7 vertical and 7 horizontal shelves in black lacquered plywood, which simply snap together. Fastened to the wall with just two hooks, the shelf is perfectly stable.
The bookcase creates a strong visual impact as it literally seems to emerge from the wall, and is truly impressive from any angle.
It is in excellent condition with only minor wear, which is rare for this lacquered wood piece.
Very slight signs of wear.
