Two Tuareg side tables in wood and embossed leather
Origin: Niger, Africa
Dating:
Description: A pair of side tables, perfect as end tables or bedside tables, handcrafted by a Tuareg artisan. Made from a wooden frame, they are covered in dyed goatskin leather, then embossed with a punch. These two side tables are detachable and assemble by fitting three pieces together. The leather has some small tears and peeling at the joints of the legs, including a significant loss on one of the tables, but these are invisible once assembled. Both tabletops are in very good condition. Maintenance is done with a cloth and any leather conditioner. Rare pieces!
