This set of two Cassina LC2 armchairs, designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand, is an iconic example of modernist design. The cubist form and visible tubular frame make this model a timeless classic in design history. The armchairs are crafted with a chromed steel frame that encloses the loose, dark brown leather-upholstered cushions. The color is a very deep shade of brown, offering a softer alternative to black, yet combining excellently with it. The construction shows the characteristic webbing at the bottom. Authenticity features, including the signature and serial number, are engraved in the frame. The set is in very good, original condition.
