This is a set of two 'Abstracta' cabinets, an iconic design by the Belgian architect and designer Jos De Mey for the manufacturer Van Den Berghe Pauvers. These pieces are representative of Belgian modernism from the mid-20th century, characterized by a minimalist aesthetic and a focus on functionality and high-quality materials. The cabinets are made of wood veneer with a warm, rich grain structure typical of the period. The design rests on a distinctive base that makes the cabinet visually float, contributing to its elegant and light appearance. Behind the two doors is a practical storage space with shelves, where the white back panel forms a subtle contrast with the warm wood. The original factory sticker from Van Den Berghe Pauvers from Ghent is present, confirming its authenticity and origin.
