The tubular chair, which was designed by Mart Stam in the 1930s, has become an iconic piece of furniture and is likely to remain so for a considerable amount of time. Its simple springing construction, which lacks hind legs, offers excellent properties, and when combined with the molded seat, it provides sufficient comfort for extended periods of sitting, whether it be at a meal or work. We restored this piece in our workshop.
