Modular table lamps or wall lamp - Model Manon - Italy - 1970s - Design Yamada Shomei.
The Yamada Shomei Manon table lamps have been produced in many colors and slight variations over the years.
This lamp is in excellent condition, tested and fully functional, the wiring is original, E14 bulb socket.
A switch inside the folding arm allows it to be turned on and off by opening and closing the lamp.
These lamps were first produced in the 1960s by Yamada Shomei Lighting Co. LTD, which is still active. The success of this lamp is not only its innovative design, but above all its versatility.
With the Manon version model ZM-002, Yamada Shomei received the IF Design Award in 1984.
This iconic space-age lamp was designed in 1975 by Yamada Shomei. The 'Manon' design is inspired by the forms of Japanese origami.
The lamp is a beautiful wine red - Bordeaux (very rare) vintage and has actually been used in the past, so it shows slight signs of wear typical of a vintage object.
