Product description
Decorative trio of mallards in full flight, hand-carved and painted.
The three ducks form a fixed wall composition. They can be arranged in a group, as in the photos, or in an ascending line: it's up to you to give them their dynamic.
Each bird is assembled from several pieces of wood (visible on the reverse): the head and neck, the body, the raised wing. The feathers are engraved in relief. The deep green of the head and wings, the cream of the collar, and the brown glazed chest, which reveals the wood grain, have acquired a beautiful patina over time.
Each piece has a hanging hole on the reverse and a small, recent metal attachment.
I have not found any similar models. Neither signature nor mark is visible. Their artisanal craftsmanship and patina place them among antique pieces.
In good general condition. Small scattered paint chips, related to age, especially on the heads and wings. Slight chip on the edge of the beak on one of the ducks. Wood assembly line visible on the neck of the large model (solid assembly). Round wooden patch on the chest of the large model. A few small holes on the reverse.
Sold as an inseparable set.
Dimensions: Large model: 38 x 39 x 3 cm / Medium model: 33 x 33 x 3.5 cm / Small model: 26 x 25 x 2.5 cm.
