Product description
Extraordinary English office chair manufactured by Trapnell & Gane of Cardiff. This chair is made of solid oak and has a very decorative wood grain on the seat. The chair is in very clean condition for its age, is not rickety and sits comfortably. The only things to note are sporadic old woodworm holes, which have been checked. The Trapnell & Gane company began as early as 1824 and was known for its high quality furniture, which was often purchased by persons of status. The company had several branches and eventually closed its doors shortly after World War II. The Cardiff branch was sold as early as the 1930s, thus this chair predates that time as well.
