Product description
A vintage armchair, designed by Tito Agnoli in the 1960s and manufactured in Italy. This piece is a characteristic example of Italian design from the mid-20th century, where natural materials such as rattan were used to create sculptural and comfortable forms. The chair stands out with its high, enveloping backrest and the flowing lines of the frame, resulting in an inviting and organic silhouette.
The construction is entirely made of rattan, expertly bent and woven to provide both structure and decorative detail. The frame rests on a sled base, contributing to its light and airy appearance. The chair comes with the original two-piece cushion set, consisting of a seat cushion and a headrest, both upholstered in a textile with a botanical pattern in soft tones. These cushions enhance seating comfort and add a touch of color to the natural rattan.
The armchair is in good vintage condition, with a patina consistent with its age and use, which contributes to the authentic character of the furniture. The structure is solid, and the original cushions are present, emphasizing the completeness of the piece. The overall condition testifies to the durability and quality of the original craftsmanship.
This rattan armchair by Tito Agnoli is an elegant addition to various interior styles, from Bohemian and eclectic to Mid-Century Modern. It is a comfortable reading chair for a living room, conservatory, or bedroom, and functions as both a functional seating piece and a decorative design object.
