Product description
An authentic Spanish 'tinaja', a traditional earthenware storage jar. These pots were historically used for storing olive oil, wine, or grains and are a characteristic element of the Mediterranean landscape and household. Its rustic character and weathered appearance make this piece a unique decorative object. Made of terracotta, the pot shows traces of its artisanal origin and use. The dimensions are considerable: a height of 50 cm and a diameter of 75 cm at the top, tapering to a base of 35 cm. The earthy, beige-brown color and the texture of the unglazed surface emphasize the natural beauty of the material. The horizontal lines in the clay bear witness to the turning process. The pot is in a condition that reflects its age and history. An old break has been traditionally repaired with metal staples, which was not only a structural solution but now also adds a fascinating visual detail. This type of repair, known as 'stapling', increases the historical value and unique character of the piece.
