This set of two Kreuzschwinger chairs is a design by the German designer Till Behrens from the 1980s. The chairs are made of chromed steel and embody the postmodern aesthetic of that period. The design is immediately recognizable by the crossed base, to which the chair owes its name, and its graphic, airy appearance.
The construction consists of a tubular frame of chromed steel, with both the seat and the backrest made of horizontal slats. The dimensions are approximately 98 cm high, 49 cm wide and 55 cm deep, with a seat height of 46 cm. The set comes with two black fabric seat cushions that can be attached to the frame with ties for extra comfort.
The overall condition of the chairs is very good, in accordance with their age. The chrome work has retained its original shine and the structure is solid and stable. The accompanying cushions are also in good condition, making the set immediately ready for use.
Due to their design and seat height, these chairs are excellently suited as Barstools at a kitchen island or a high table. They form a characteristic element in a modern, minimalist or eclectic interior.
