Product description
This Thonet B35 lounge chair, designed by Marcel Breuer, is an iconic example of modernist furniture design. The design combines a tubular frame construction with natural materials, resulting in a timeless and elegant silhouette that reflects the Bauhaus philosophy. The chair is crafted with a chrome-plated steel tubular frame and features a seat and backrest made of woven cane. The armrests are finished with light wood, providing a warm contrast to the cool metal. The Thonet mark is clearly visible on the frame, confirming the authenticity of this piece. The combination of chrome, wood, and cane in a beige and silver color scheme emphasizes the refined aesthetic of the design. The furniture is in very good condition, with structural integrity and the original finish preserved. The cane work is intact and the chrome displays a beautiful shine, attesting to careful use over the years. This lounge chair is a perfect addition to a modernist or contemporary interior. The piece comes into its own perfectly in a living room or reading nook, where it offers both comfort and a strong design statement.
