Greaves Thomas Sideboard: The Elegance of 1960s Teak
Discover this magnificent Greaves Thomas sideboard. It's a masterpiece of 1960s British design. This teak sideboard combines elegance and functionality. Moreover, it embodies the Danish influence so prized by collectors of high-end furniture. This piece represents a rare opportunity. It is in perfect condition.
A Refined Mid-Century Design
This large vintage piece is distinguished by its clean lines. Its craftsmanship is exceptional. Furthermore, the interior offers generous storage space:
Central Section: It features three spacious drawers. The top drawer has a cutlery divider. The red felt lining has been recently replaced.
Bar Area (Right): This section has a unique double door. The drop-down door reveals a black Formica countertop. Therefore, you can prepare your cocktails without scratching the wood.
Left Side Storage: This additional cupboard is equipped with a removable shelf. It perfectly complements the set.
The Heritage of British Craftsmanship
Greaves & Thomas was founded at the beginning of the 20th century. It produced prestigious furniture thanks to designers like Walter Cornell. This Greaves & Thomas sideboard is a testament to this pivotal period. The brand was then competing with the leading names in Scandinavian design. This is why it features fine materials and tapered legs.
