This clever, artistic decorative bowl by Thomas Buxo gives an original twist to the typical tapas platter. At first glance, the unusual elements appear purely artistic. However, a trained eye will notice that the ridges along the rim improve the grip of the bowl. The two protruding small bowls offer space for skewers of olives and other snacks. The design is both visually appealing and brilliantly executed for practical use.
The French artist Thomas Buxo graduated from the Rietveld Academy in 1996. He is known for his graphic design and ceramics and has his own studio in Amsterdam.
