Product description
A rare and iconic screen print by Thomas Bayrle, created as a corporate gift for Lufthansa business partners. The screen print is one of his superform images, in which, in this case, one large aircraft is formed by combining countless small aircraft. Through his unique and innovative approach, Thomas Bayrle has become one of the leading artists of the Pop Art movement. Consequently, he enjoys significant museum recognition, particularly through his Superforms. These are included in the collection of the MoMA in New York, among others, where a proof print of this screen print is also part of the collection. The work is hand-signed and measures 49×69.5cm. The work is in very good condition and has a few minimal traces of storage on the corners and along one edge that are barely noticeable (see the detail photos for details; the small spot on the corner near the signature is so inconspicuous that it cannot be photographed). The original Lufthansa letter accompanying the work, as well as the storage folder, are also still present. This one does have a bit more damage (including a small tear and damage to the corners). However, it is truly unique that the whole thing is still complete. Please note! Collection is strongly preferred!
