Product description
A male bust in terracotta with a bronze patina, inspired by antiquity, evokes Greco-Roman portraits through the simplicity of its features, the stylized hair, and the inner expression of its face.
The sculpture is distinguished by its free and vibrant modeling: the tool marks are intentionally visible, giving the surface a sense of depth and an authentic presence. The subtly nuanced patina imitates the appearance of antique bronze while retaining the warmth and sensitivity inherent to terracotta.
The piece embodies a spirit of modern classicism, blending classical heritage with 20th-century sensibility, favoring contemplation and humanity over heroism.
The work is signed on the base (see photo), attesting to meticulous and deliberate studio work. 📐H 44cm W 20cm D 20cm
