Product description
This is a silver-plated wine bottle coaster by the famous Italian maker Teghini of Florence (just google their items !). Its design is characteristic of the Mid-Century Modern era, featuring a distinctive pierced gallery with a geometric pattern.
Crafted from silver-plated metal, the coaster was produced in Italy, as indicated by the 'Teghini Firenze' and 'Made in Italy' stamps on its side. The intricate, openwork body contrasts with the solid, circular base. The underside is lined with green felt to protect underlying surfaces from scratches and condensation.
The piece presents with a natural patina that has developed over time, contributing to its vintage character. The coaster is structurally sound and maintains its original form, reflecting a history of use as both a functional and decorative object.
An elegant addition to a bar cart or dining table setting, this holder is suited for both classic and Mid-Century Modern interiors. It provides a sophisticated way to present a bottle of wine while protecting table linens.
Please note that there are heavy signs of use/wear, especially patina and some specks of rust. Sold as is !
