Product description
The iconic Scissor chair, designed by Louis van Teeffelen, is a masterpiece of post-war Dutch design. This specific model stands out due to its distinctive scissor-shaped frame, giving it a timeless and architectural silhouette.
The chair is crafted from solid wood with a warm, organic finish typical of the Mid-Century Modern period. The seat and backrest are upholstered in Ploegwool, creating a striking contrast with the rich brown tones of the wooden frame. The construction showcases the craftsmanship and attention to detail for which the designer is known.
The piece of furniture is in excellent vintage condition, with its original character and structural integrity fully preserved. Over the years, the materials have developed a light, authentic patina that contributes to its historical value.
This armchair functions perfectly as a striking accent piece in a modern living room or a sophisticated study. The design combines effortlessly with both contemporary and classic interior styles.
