The "Tütenvase" is a decorative and utilitarian object made of fine porcelain, designed to mimic the appearance of a crumpled paper bag.
It belongs to a series that has become emblematic of 20th-century design.
Created in the 1970s by Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala for Rosenthal Studio-Line, it reproduces the illusion of a crumpled paper bag, playing with everyday forms transformed into a refined object.
This particular piece was produced for the brand's centenary in 1979; very good condition.
