Product description
Superb art enamel on copper from Limoges, created and signed by the famous master enameller René Restoueix, Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) in 1955.The work is a beautiful rendition of the famous pastoral scene "La Bergère endormie" (The Sleeping Shepherdess), originally painted by the great 18th-century master François Boucher. The colors of the enamel have retained their superb vibrancy, offering deep contrasts and delicate light, typical of Limoges' excellent craftsmanship. The enamel is presented in its important period frame of gilded stucco, richly molded and sculpted with volutes and foliage, which perfectly highlights the finesse of the composition; Excellent conditionWidth: 38.5cmHeight: 32.5cmFast and careful shipping
