Product description
This is a 'Praxi' table lamp, designed by Italian designer Bruno Gecchelin for the manufacturer iGuzzini in 1982. The piece is a characteristic example of postmodern Italian design from the 1980s, known for its functionality and sculptural form. The lamp is made from a combination of metal and plastic, finished in a glossy and matte black. The construction consists of a weighted round base, an articulated arm with two pivot points, and a semi-circular, adjustable shade. The inside of the shade is painted white for optimal light reflection. This design, produced in Italy, combines industrial aesthetics with the flexibility required for a desk lamp. The overall condition of the lamp is consistent with its age and use; however, there is a crack in the top layer of the plastic of the base. The mechanical functions, such as the hinges and the switch, are fully operational. The piece has an authentic patina that tells the story of its history. Thanks to its adjustable design, the 'Praxi' lamp is an excellent choice for a desk, reading nook, or workspace. Its timeless black color scheme and clean lines make it a versatile addition to modern, minimalist, and industrial interior styles.
