ProfessionalProduct description
Vintage ceramic table lamp with perforated ceramic by Marianne Starck for Michael Andersen & Son. This striking vintage ceramic table lamp exemplifies Starck’s celebrated perforated ceramic technique, featuring a richly textured surface with carefully composed circular cut-outs that create depth, contrast, and a captivating interplay of light and shadow. The pale grey or pale beige glaze shifts subtly in tone across the surface, enhancing the sculptural quality of the form and lending the piece a refined, architectural presence. Elegant yet distinctive, the design balances a timeless silhouette with a modern sensibility, making it highly versatile across a range of interiors—from Scandinavian and mid-century modern to contemporary and eclectic settings. As with all works by Marianne Starck, the craftsmanship is exceptional, with meticulous attention to proportion, texture, and finish. Both functional and decorative, this lamp serves as a sophisticated focal point in any space. Excellent vintage condition with only minimal signs of age. The glaze is beautifully preserved. A rare opportunity to acquire an iconic example of Marianne Starck’s artistry. This lamp is currently fitted with a standard EU plug.
