Large scale center or dining table with a limestone mosaic top, composed in a refined circular pattern. The surface reveals a subtle play in depth and tactility through the varied height of the individual stone inlays, giving the piece a strong architectural presence without losing its restraint. The charcoal patinated metal base, with tones reminiscent of darkened brass, provides a clean contrast to the pale limestone top (very similar to Travertine however much harder composition). Its cylindrical legs and cross structure create a balanced, grounded silhouette. With a diameter of 130 cm / 51.2 inches, this table works equally well as a dining table, center table or statement presentation piece in a fashion or retail environment. The design strongly recalls the work of Belgian designers in the spirit of Ado Chale, Jan Vlug and Charles Kreglinger, combining natural materials with a sculptural, modernist approach.
Condition
The table is in overall good condition, with a few small stone inlays having been replaced in the past. The color variation between the original and replaced stones is very minimal. The frame remains in good condition, with the patina beautifully preserved and clearly visible. Structurally, the table is completely sound.
We have consciously chosen to photograph all of our items in their current state to present the real original condition as completely as possible for transparency towards our clients.
