Extraordinary table "Diamante - Scultura 99" designed by Luciano Frigerio for Frigerio di Desio in the 1970s, belonging to the very rare limited series composed of only 99 pieces.
This is one of the 99 original pieces produced by Atelier A, today considered among the most sought-after and representative works of the master. The table is sold accompanied by an official certificate of authenticity issued by the Frigerio heirs, which definitively attests to its provenance and originality.
The sculptural base, made of African Padauk wood, is composed of an architectural sequence of superimposed modular elements, crafted and interlocked with absolute precision.
The protruding and recessed parts create a complex geometric rhythm, with an alternation of solids and voids that recalls the Brutalist aesthetic and the great tradition of Italian cabinet-making.
The perfectly smooth surfaces, rich in deep grain, interact with the three-dimensional modulations of the individual slats, transforming the base into a true monolithic sculpture. The top, in ground crystal glass, enhances the perception of the underlying volume and allows the structure to emerge with all its plastic power.

Luciano Frigerio, born in Desio in 1928, revolutionized the world of design and furniture production, inheriting the family tradition of high-level cabinet-making. After graduating in accounting, he developed a passion for furniture design and musical composition. In the 1960s, taking advantage of the entrepreneurial opportunities in Brianza, he transformed the family business into an international reality, collaborating with important figures such as Gio Ponti and Franco Albini.
Frigerio realized his dream of creating furniture as unique works of art, introducing "solid wood sculpture furniture" and "bronze sculpture beds," which combine artisanal excellence with precious materials. His company produced numbered and signed pieces, collaborating with renowned architects and designers. Between the 1970s and 1990s, he opened ten showrooms throughout Italy.
