Product description
This coffee table is a characteristic example of Belgian Brutalist design from the 1970s, made entirely of solid oak. Its silhouette is defined by a robust construction and pure geometric forms, typical of the movement. The piece stands out for its substantial base, often described as "elephant legs," which gives it a sculptural presence and remarkable stability.
The table is entirely made of solid oak, a wood chosen for its durability and the beauty of its grain. The rectangular top with softened edges rests on a solid structure composed of four thick, angular legs, connected by a central stretcher that reinforces the whole. The finish reveals the natural color of the wood, a warm honey tone that highlights the grain patterns. This piece was produced in Belgium, an important center for Brutalist furniture at that time.
Presented in excellent condition, this table has withstood decades while retaining its structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. The wood surface shows a discreet and uniform patina that testifies to its history without compromising its appearance. The quality of the craftsmanship is evident in the precise assembly and solidity of the table.
With its clean lines and honest materiality, this coffee table fits perfectly into Mid-Century Modern, naturalist, or eclectic interiors. It can serve as an anchor point in a living room, paired with a soft-textured sofa to create an interesting contrast of materials.
