About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a handmade Italian ceramic sculpture by the artist Toni Moretto (1929 - 2011), created for the renowned studio "Lo Scricciolo" in Milan. His signature "T. MORETTO" is clearly visible on the bottom left of the base. This specific work depicts a coachman and a lady in a horse-drawn carriage and is known under titles such as "La Dama e il Cocchiere" (The Lady and the Coachman). The typical humorous, elongated, and somewhat caricatural style is characteristic of his handmade mid-century design objects from the 1960s and 1970s.
