This is a large, authentic wall clock by Syroco, a beautiful example of mid-20th-century design. The piece perfectly captures the atomic age atmosphere with its dynamic sunburst design, an iconic motif from that period. Rare model.
Made in the United States in 1963, this clock is crafted from Syroco's characteristic composite material. The gold and bronze-colored finish gives the object depth and a warm appearance. The cream-colored dial with clean, black numerals and hands ensures clear contrast and good readability. The battery-operated movement works but sometimes struggles to turn the original hands; sometimes the hand hangs loosely for a moment and is picked up again later. This can be easily solved by installing a new movement with corresponding hands.
The clock is in a well-preserved condition appropriate for its age and has a characteristic patina that adds to its vintage charm. The original finish is largely intact, emphasizing the authenticity of the piece.
