About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
In Blossom Cake, Dutch artist Swen van der Sangen presents a visual 'treat for the wall,' harmoniously combining rich green hues with radiant gold.
This circular artwork, with a diameter of 30 cm, is an experimental piece and a first test within Van der Sangen's artistic exploration, inviting an intimate experience of color and texture.
Blossom Cake is carefully handcrafted from resin-coated paper and features carefully rolled paper strips forming a richly textured base. Delicately hand-cut, resin-coated blossoms are arranged with precision, resulting in a dynamic composition that radiates both tranquility and elegance. The combination of orange and light blue evokes feelings of vitality and luxury, while the glossy surface catches light and adds a subtle shine.
Van der Sangen graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht in 2014 and brings more than ten years of experience to his art. After designing striking patterns for the luxury brand Mucho Gusto for over ten years, he seamlessly integrates his design expertise into his innovative visual art practice.
Blossom Cake transforms everyday materials into an ode to nature and adds a unique sophistication to any space. Each piece is individually crafted, ensuring every collector receives a unique expression of Van der Sangen's artistic vision.
