This striking pendant lamp is a design by Danish designer Svend Aage Holm Sørensen, crafted from brass. The fixture is characterized by a sculptural, floral design typical of mid-twentieth-century Scandinavian design.
The lamp is constructed from overlapping brass blades with a subtly serrated edge, creating a rich texture and warm light reflection. Over the years, the metal has developed a natural patina, contributing to the piece's authentic character. The construction allows light to shine through the gaps in the blades in an atmospheric way, creating soft, indirect lighting.
The brass displays lively oxidation and color variations that attest to the lamp's age and use. The brass lamellae have been acid-treated, creating a beautiful flame-like character. The structure is intact, and the lamp is fitted with a renewed black textile cable and a matching original ceiling rose.
