Vintage Mid - Century suspension lamp designed by Rolf Krüger for Staff Leuchten (Germany) in the 1970s, model P117. A fine example of German design, combining pure geometry and expressive materials.
Rolf Krüger (b. 1939) is a respected industrial designer known for his lighting work with Staff and Rosenthal Studio. He received the iF Design Award and the Rosenthal Design Prize in 1968. His lighting pieces are now considered collector's items.
This version features a solid smoked glass globe, with a diameter of 33 cm and a weight of 4 kg, offering a soft, diffused light. It has been carefully restored, re-electrified with a 2-meter copper-colored textile cable, reinforced with a steel core for secure ceiling mounting (essential for its 4 kg weight). Steel wire may require custom cable length on request (requires crimping for suspension loop).
A matching chrome ceiling rose can be included (not shown).
Chrome polished but with a slight pitting, superficial but altering its mirror-like appearance, glass slightly chipped at the neck under the hood but probably from the manufacturing process, all the glass itself is in perfect condition with no visible defects.
