Product description
This photographic work by the Dutch artist Jean Ruiter depicts a surrealist composition from 1982. The image, titled 'the lightsource was like a dancing rumour', combines theatrical elements with a dreamy atmosphere, characteristic of the staged photography of that period. The photograph is printed on paper and framed with a mat in a black frame. The composition shows a red curtain, a single woman's shoe, and a trail of light on a wooden floor, executed in warm red and brown tones. The work is hand-signed and dated by the artist in the lower right corner, with the title written in the lower left corner. The artwork is in good condition, with the colors retaining their original depth. The frame and mat form a harmonious whole that draws attention to the central image. This work fits perfectly into an interior where surrealist or postmodern art finds a place. It provides an intriguing conversation starter in a study, hallway, or living space with an eclectic or contemporary decor.
