Translucent molded glass dish with an amber tint (colored glass throughout).
Large circular dish with a cut-out rim, depicting a stylized flower. The central basin is slightly concave and surrounded by radiating petals in relief. The free edge is undulating, following the floral design.
Manufactured using industrial molding, probably in a metal mold. The petal reliefs and veins were created directly during the molding process. Polished finish after removal from the mold. This is not blown glass but a molded piece of artistic glassware.
Naturalistic decoration inspired by the sunflower. The veined petals radiate around a darker, textured central center, creating an effect of depth and realism. The amber color enhances the interplay of light and the transparency of the glass.
Second half of the 20th century, likely 1960s-1970s.
Scandinavian production, probably Swedish.
