An early 20th-century school still life watercolour painting featuring vibrant orange marigold flowers. The composition appears to be a copy of a woodcut print by John Hall Thorpe (British, 1874–1947), known for his colourful floral works.
The frame appears to be original, though the glass has been replaced with non-reflective, UV-protective glass.
Unsigned and in good condition.
Circa 1920–1930s.
Other similar works (Spring and Autumn, pictured) are available in separate listings.
