Product description
In 1948, the company Tubax was created from the company Vits (mechanical constructions) under the leadership of Jan Vits. Tubax NV would grow into one of the largest Belgian manufacturers of metal furniture. In 1963, the company was at its peak when it employed over 200 people. In this period Tubax produced, among other things, the popular designs of Willy van der Meeren. In 1977 the Vits company stepped out of NV Tubax and in 1984 the company went bankrupt. 154 jobs were lost. Height: 192 cm. Width: 60 cm. Depth: 60 cm. Provenance: Belgium, 1960s.
