Product description
De Sede DS 35 High Back Lounge Chairs · Swiveling Executive Armchairs · Switzerland, 1970s
Hand Crafted Cognac Leather Swivel Lounge Chairs with Signature Strap Stitching. Matching set.
The DS 35 high back lounge chair by the De Sede design team represents the more architectural and commanding interpretation of this iconic Swiss model. With its elevated backrest, generous proportions, and confident silhouette, this version leans toward a refined executive presence while maintaining the relaxed comfort that defines 1970s De Sede design. It integrates beautifully into interiors ranging from modernist and Japandi to eclectic and high end contemporary spaces.
These examples are finished in a magnificent cognac orange leather, a deeply saturated tone that has matured into a perfect natural patina over time. The hide displays subtle tonal variation and softness that only decades of aging can produce. The signature hand stitched strap detailing along the armrests and seat edges showcases the unmistakable artisanal craftsmanship for which De Sede is internationally respected.
The chairs swivel smoothly and the backrest offers a subtle reclining adjustment for enhanced comfort. The seating experience is exceptional. Deep cushions, supportive back height, and generous seat depth make them ideal as statement lounge chairs for both private and professional settings.
Finding the high back DS 35 in this color and condition is increasingly rare. A refined collector piece and a powerful design statement rooted in Swiss craftsmanship.
