This studio ceramic bowl by Keramo Kostelec is a fine example of mid-century Czechoslovakian design. Produced in the 1960s, the piece features a distinctive sgraffito technique, where the top layer of dark glaze is scratched away to reveal the lighter clay beneath, creating a striking floral and avian motif.
Crafted from ceramic, the bowl has a matte brown finish that contrasts beautifully with the white and lighter brown tones of the incised design. The bowl's shallow, wide form makes it a versatile decorative object.
